We did the Shem Creek 3-hour kayak tour. Our tour guide loves his job and was passionate about conservation. He really knew the Shem Creek and its eco-system and offered many insights that you might not have gotten from others. This is a leisurely kayak tour and it's more focused on learning about the Creek than it is a physical activity.

First time kayaking with the whole family. Our guide did a super job getting us ready. The kids had a blast and we saw and learned so much while just enjoying ourselves.

Had a great kayaking tour. Charlie was an excellent tour guide, who was very outgoing and knowledgeable about the area. Kayaked next to several dolphins and learned about the surrounding areas. The guys back in the office were great, as well, helping us with the kayaks and holding our valuables while we were on the tour. Would recommend to everyone.

Even though it rained beforehand, it was worth the wait. And rain made the dolphins more active. Bryson was an awesome guide. It was a first for a friend an me and so much fun! Will definitely return!

The 2-hour kayak tour with Shem Creek Nature Adventures was absolutely amazing! We were thrilled to see dolphins up close, which has been on my Charleston bucket list! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the kayaks were in excellent condition. The tour was well-paced with plenty of relaxing breaks, making the two hours feel easy and enjoyable. We had Ethan as a tour guide and he made the tour so educational and humorous! Highly recommend this tour for a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Five stars!

Fantastic experience. My kids and I booked an afternoon kayak rental - I'd heard that mid-afternoon was a good chance to see dolphins as they await the arrival of shrimp boats . . . the staff told us what to look for (mainly pelicans in big numbers) and sure enough, 3 minutes after setting off we spotted a shrimp boat off-loading and ventured over - were almost immediately surrounded by dolphins!!! - Pretty crazy, pretty cool for sure - just sat there in the kayaks and enjoyed the experience. After about 10-15 minutes we heard thunder and a guided tour of kayakers came by and told us we'd better head back before the torrential rains and lightning hit . . . we did, and the company returned us 75% of our our fee, which I thought was pretty cool! Overall, great people, great company it seems - we'd used them once before as well and will again.

This was a great way to start our Sunday - beautiful weather, very friendly and knowledgeable guide (Jacob) and just a chill tour of Shem Creek and Crab Bank Island. Definitely would recommend Nature Adventures!

We did the 3 hour kayak tour and it was a highlight of our Charleston trip. We went during low tide and saw tons of birds and crabs. Suggest going during high tide for better chance at dolphins and manatees. However, our guide was super enthusiastic and knowledgeable and let us explore! So much fun!

Something different from plantations, museums and food. A chance to see wildlife, including dolphins up close. Helpful, easy to use website. Great staff and a wonderful guided paddle from Cindy. Out of Shem Creek and into the harbor. Just 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. Anyone can get in a kayak. Do it.

I've lived in South Carolina for 5 years and this was the BEST thing I have done! Our guide, Angela, was beyond fabulous. She taught us so much about the algae, grasses, fish, birds and even some South Carolina history. She was outgoing and very friendly, which made the experience so wonderful. Icing on the cake was having two dolphins swim along side us. Highly recommend.

We love to kayak, and were excited to find Nature Adventures. We opted for a self guided kayak trip and lucked into a group of dolphins! We were able to follow them for about a mile. It was by far one of the coolest experiences ever. Aside from seeing dolphins, the scenery is beautiful along the marsh! We will definitely do this again!

Perfect Weather, Great Equipment, Knowledgeable & PERSONABLE GUIDE! If you’ve ever rented a canoe, kayak or other water vessel, the life jacket is part of the gig. THANKFULLY, these life jackets didn’t have the customary raunchy odor as has been my experience in the past when renting other places. Two hours went by so quickly. Charlie, our guide was GREAT at answering me rifling questions at him! I highly recommend this business.

The guides attunement to birds fish and habitat. So enlived the experience. Even saw a fox. So glad I went.

We took a kayak trip with a guide which was just what the doctor ordered. He was very informative and environment conscious & gave us our money's worth. Would definitely do it again.

I recently visited Charleston from Chicago and went on a sea kayaking tour with Nature Adventures. It was so much fun. Matt was my tour guide and he was pleasant and so knowledgeable about the area. We visited a bird sanctuary, found seashells and sharks teeth. It is way under priced, completely worth the money. everyone was professional and nice. I am completely inexperienced when it came to kayaking and Matt made me feel completely comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely go again.

Great communication with company, Easy check in- check out process . Eric was a great tour operator and full of information! I literally live 20 mins from here and it was our first time out on the water kayaking. A perfect day for a mommy daughter day🎁 A must do in Mt P !!!

We decided to go kayaking on a guided tour. We had a a very small group of two couples and the guide. I would recommend going on a rainy day because you aren’t sweating while kayaking. We were able to go through some estuaries and the guide gave us some very interesting details.

We had a group of 9 people go on a paddle of Shem Creek. Most of the people were new to kayaking and they spent as much time as necessary. The tour guide was wonderful and gave us plenty of history along with pointing out various shore birds, etc. Highly recommend this company.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two plus hour guided tour of Shem Creek and the outlying area. Well worth the money! How good was very knowledgeable about the local area and wildlife, and he had a pretty good sense of humor too.

We had a majestic time. Big shout out to Charlie! Funny, informative and a pleasure to have as a guide. We will be back with family
