Our family had the BEST time kayaking with Nature Adventures! Matt was our guide, and he did an incredible job sharing the history of the area in such a fun and engaging way. It was both relaxing and educational—which isn’t always easy to pull off, especially with a 9-year-old! We even got lucky and spotted a manatee, which made the trip even more magical. My husband, daughter, and I all agreed it was one of the highlights of our vacation. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area!

We had scheduled a 2-hour kayak tour and got rained out. The staff were so helpful and nice and were able to reschedule us for the next morning. Our guide, Ethan, was knowledgeable, kind, courteous and professional. He is a Marine Biologist and shared a lot of great information about the ecology of Shem Creek, and the ocean and marshlands. The kayaking itself was very slow as you are trying to stay in a group. We had a great experience, and we saw 4 dolphins during our short kayak trip. I would definitely recommend this tour!

The wind was up and the tide was up. Such conditions compelled us to spend most of the time exploring the marsh area of Patriots Point. Matt taught me a lot about this environment and gave me a much better appreciation of how it functions and its importance to wildlife. Great tour!

Went out with Ben and had a fantastic time with the Family. We were able to see some Dolphins, the beautiful nature of the area along with some local history. All and all it was a absolutely amazing time with the family that I would recommend to anyone!!!

My fiance and I did the two hour kayak tour through Shem Creek, the marsh and to Bird Island. We spent our morning paddling and learning about Charleston's history and wildlife. We saw dolphins and hundreds of birds including pelicans, egrets, marsh hens and others. Ed also showed us several of the historic fossils that he has found throughout his kayak travels. It was one of the most enjoyable activities that we have ever done. We are looking forward to doing it again with our families.

Had a wonderful time kayaking in Charleston with my family. Our Nature Adventures guide was very familiar with the area and knew exactly how to get us views of the local wildlife. Seeing dolphins up close was definitely the highlight of the trip.

A great kayak tour with Tori. She was great and taught us a lot about the history, ecosystem and wildlife. A great way to get out and enjoy nature in the area.

We did a three hour guided tour on the Wambaw Creek. There are plenty of alligators swimming in the creek and sunning on logs - they aren't a danger to kayakers though! Lots of really neat birds and wildlife. The guide was awesome and low key - but let us know plenty about the local environment and the history of the area.

Worth a drive outside the city. Glad we took the time to paddle Francis Marion Nat. Park. Relaxing, peaceful paddle with outstanding guide. Thanks Matt for making our trip both pleasant and educational. We had the opportunity to view several alligators, an owl, a copper head, corcoran, great blue heron, white heron, turtles, warblers, and fiddlers crab colonies. The paddle was perfect for beginners or the more experienced. Our trip was organized and on time! We were well equipped and this company is very environmentally friendly. Matt was more than well versed on the history of the area, fauna and local species of animals, reptiles and fowl. Highly recommend.

What a great way to see Shem Creek and Mt Pleasant from the water! Christian was a great tour guide filled with knowledge and stories to share with us. The dolphin swimming past us on the way back in was an awesome touch!

I had such a good time on my first kayaking trip that I booked another the week after! The first one with Charlie & the 2nd with Matt. Both guides were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable of history, marine life and had us feeling safe in the water. I can't wait to come back! Plus we saw SO MANY DOLPHINS!!! Thank you so much!

I would highly recommend the kayak tour. It was the first time for me and my niece kayaking and I was a bit anxious for some reason. It was awesome and Eric was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. Will do it again for sure.

Me and my wife came down for our anniversary. We have been several times to Charleston and been on several adventures with the Nature adventure tour guides. This one was by far the best. We took the 3 hour tour and had an awesome tour guide Rob. We were very excited and hopeful to get to see dolphins this time seeing as the past we weren’t so lucky. We got our wish plus some they were all out and about and one even came up right beside us. The guide was super knowledgeable. And made the trip a lot of fun. Highly recommend to anyone looking for some fun and sun.

Nicole was terrific and the tour was actually very informative if you are into nature. There is one suggestion that I would make is that maybe put some bars on the sides of the pilings when you launch your kayak to give the kayakers a sense of stability as the leave the launch. I was a little embarrassed when I left the boat launch because I almost tipped. LOL ! The only reason I'm giving this a 4 and not a 5 is so that it is seen by the company.

The Shem Creek Kayak tour was a highlight of our trip! We booked a group tour, but nobody else has booked so it turned into a private tour! The staff was extremely friendly and patient as this was our first time kayaking. Ben was a great guide and we got some awesome shots! Great opportunity to see wildlife such as dolphins, manatees, and various birds. Definitely recommend!

Our tour guide Kathy was excellent! She was friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating. Some in our group wanted to be in kayaks sitting on top and others inside. She pulled out kayaks to accommodate each of us. We had three couples in our group in the 8:00AM tour. The water was very calm and it wasn’t too hot yet. Great time to go! Kathy gave some basic instructions- this is a gentle, easy kayaking excursion and beginners would have no trouble. We saw several dolphins and many pelicans. We also saw a few great white cranes and an osprey nest with a juvenile in it. Kathy was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and pointed out many along the way and told stories and interesting facts.

We had so much fun on our kayak tour! Our guide, Steve, was very informative and fun as he guided us through the water! This made me want a kayak of my own - we will be back!

Yesterday, we went out on a small women's group kayak adventure to Crab Island to search for sharks teeth. Elizabeth and Ben were great from beginning to end! Some in our group had never kayaked before and our instructions were detailed and put everyone at ease. Beautiful weather, great company, lots of laughter and two knowledgable pros!! I'm looking forward to our next trip.

The tour provided by Nature adventure outfitters was excellent. The guide was knowledgeable and allowed a certain amount of customization for the tour. The equipment was in good condition. The staff was very accommodating, especaillywhen we had a last minute schedule change. I would highly recommend this tour.

If you have an Autistic child, come here and ask for Josh. He was so patient with my child's struggles. He was polite when she interrupted, and continued with what he was saying as I redirected her...but then he always came back to her and said, "so what was your question, Ms V?" And then he answered every single one of her millions of wildlife questions. And not just about Charleston wild life! He answered at least 25 questions about king cobras, another 50 about lantern sharks, and octopuses and squids, and coyotes. There wasn't a single question my child asked that stumped him...and that says a lot! It was the most amazing time!! I can't reccommend them and Josh enough!
