Took my family out for a kayaking trip and we had an absolute blast. Shawn was amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and super patient with everyone. The entire crew went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and felt confident on the water. From the moment we arrived to the final paddle back, everything was smooth, fun, and memorable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a top-tier family adventure!

The kayak tour was absolutely fantastic! Our guide Ben took us on what we thought would be just a lovely kayak tour around the local waterways but we ended up getting so much more - Ben was a wonderful host explaining a wide range of interesting things about local life, the animals and nature we spotted during the beautiful tour (we even saw dolphins for a few seconds, a total surprise, unbelievable!) and for our teens the best part was the surprise behind-the-scenes tour of the Outerbanks tv show which was filmed right there in Charleston. During the tour we got to see a few set locations and hear a bunch of stories about how things were shot. Highly recommend this tour to anyone (including adults who have no idea what Outerbanks is ;)).

We went on a family kayak trip with two kids, ages 6 and 8, and two seniors and had a fantastic time. The trip wasn't too physically demanding and was very peaceful on the water. Hazel did a great job leading our group.

Saw a lot of cool wildlife and our guide was knowledgeable and fun!! Would recommend to people of all ages:)

We did the Shem Creek 3-hour kayak tour. Our tour guide loves his job and was passionate about conservation. He really knew the Shem Creek and its eco-system and offered many insights that you might not have gotten from others. This is a leisurely kayak tour and it's more focused on learning about the Creek than it is a physical activity.

This was a great way to start our Sunday - beautiful weather, very friendly and knowledgeable guide (Jacob) and just a chill tour of Shem Creek and Crab Bank Island. Definitely would recommend Nature Adventures!

My wife and I took the kayak tour in the early morning. Neither of us had been on a kayak before, but our guide, Jim, had us feeling like pros in no time. The boat traffic was low that day and the water was very calm. Making the day a relaxing, yet fun, way to cap off our vacation. Jim is very knowledgeable about the biology and history of the area. A good trip for the young and old alike.

This tour was amazing! I went with 2 other friends, one is a history buff & the other just likes to go with the flow. It was a great activity for us, as we learned history facts along the way & even got to see parts where Outer Banks was filmed!

Great experience. Ethan was our guide and was very knowledgeable about the area, the water, the birds, the real estate, the shows and movies filmed in the area. It was more relaxing than I imagined it to be. Highly recommend.

We had a great paddle with Matt as our guide. He is wonderful - a wealth of natural and historic information. Saw tons of birds including an eagle!

Excellent time! Our tour guide was Noell and she was very pleasant and fun and really made the most out of our 2 hour kayak trip. Saw some dolphins and would go again

The kayak tour was great for my first time kayaker wife and myself. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They were extremely accommodating to my wife and I as we came on the wrong day (my fault) and they fit us in with a tour later that day instead of making us come back the next day! Would highly recommend for those visiting or locals who want to see dolphins or manatees on Shem Creek!

Great place to get out on the water near Charleston. The guides are knowledgeable and passionate, and pointed out a lot of things I would have missed otherwise. They will also give you directions to different places to check out that were not included on the tour. I ended up going back after lunch and paddled for the rest of the day by myself. Each guide seems to have their own area of expertise, and the tours are different from guide to guide, as well as time of day, as tides seem to play a factor in which "route" the guide takes. I have been three times now, and can't recommend this company highly enough.

Ed took us on an early morning kayak tour of Shem Creek and the Charleston Harbor. He took his time and shared with us all sorts of interesting information. We saw loads of birds and even a manatee. This was a great tour and best done in the early am or later in pm due to heat.

We took a group of 20 active seniors kayaking on Penny Creek. It was one of our best events ever. Kayaking with a group of friends with experienced guides, well informed, patient with those of us who aren't kayak experts -- so a good day was had by all. Would recommend anyone thinking about kayaking to check with Nature Adventures. Great job!

We went kayaking with them this morning. Our guide Elizabeth was very personable and shared a lot of good knowledge about the creeks history. We were in a group of 7 which made me feel a lot more comfortable since I've never been kayaking. Overall we had a great time!

We were lucky enough to get in an afternoon of Kayaking before the virus caused the company to temporarily close. We had Eric as our guide and he was fantastic, so knowledgeable about the wild life. There were 6 of us and we paddled down the creek in both directions. We saw several different birds and were treated to a dolphin playing with us at the end of our tour. The company owner, Ben, was super helpful. The kayaks are clean and in great shape. We had a great day! I highly recommend this company for an outdoor adventure. The price is reasonable and it is a great way to spend the afternoon. I’m looking forward to doing this again the next time I am in town.

We did the 5pm guided kayak tour with Ethan and it was great! Booking on the web was easy and made it quick to check in. Everyone working there was very friendly and Ethan did an excellent job as a guide; it's clear that he enjoys his job and loves sharing information about the ecosystem. The only bummer was the misleading signage.. We thought they were located at the other end of the pier/boardwalk so it was a little stressful trying to get checked in on time.

Ask for Ethan. Very easy, casual paddle. Ethan’s knowledge about local wildlife and other tidbits was really valuable.

Nice opportunity to get out on the water while visiting Charleston. Charlie was a great guide and shared some local knowledge. Scenery is okay…shrimp boats along creek, variety of birds, shrimp jumping into kayak. Dolphins and Manatees are always a chance but no luck on my outing.

We loved it. I had never been on a kayak and went with my wife and 9 yr old son. Our guide Charlotte made us feel comfortable and confident. She had a real calm demeanor that kept everyone engaged and excited. She explained endless details and facts about the birds all around us and the marine life on the banks. Will definitely do this again. This is just another example of a company that realizes that you're only as good as the employees that represent you with the customers, and they have chosen very wisely with everyone we encountered on our visit, especially Charlotte!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was cool kayaking under the trees and learning how the ecosystem in the creek works. Very relaxing and got to see dolphins along the way too!

My three teenage children and I went on a three hour salt water kayaking tour with the most delightful guide, Clark. He first took us into salt water marshes after which we went out into the bay. We saw so many different kinds of birds, and were lucky enough to see a dolphin (it was cold and they don't always make an appearance when it's colder). It was not a very strenuous tour and we had plenty of time to watch wildlife at our leisure. We kayaked around protected sandy barrier islands in the bay, very noisy because of the nesting birds, spectacular. Clark was very knowledgable, and his enthusiasm was second to none! Everything was very well organized from the minute we arrived at the outfitters. We were on the water in no time. When I go back to visit Charleston, another kayak tour will be on the top of my list of things to do!
