We went on the Kayak Nature tour with our guide Ethan, and when I tell you I wish I could give him 10 stars. Amazing knowledge, great personality. Dolphins right up to the kayak! Also made some great recommendations of things to do while we were here! (Great call on the distillery) this is a must if you enjoy the outdoors.

Our guide is a history buff; learned a lot about pirates and oysters from him. Saw a dolphin breaching at the mouth of the creek. The kayaks they have were Wilderness Systems Pungo or Tempest, etc., heavy plastic boat, very stable, you don’t really need to worry about capsizing; and the area of water is protected by a series of sand bars, meaning the big waves of the Atlantic Ocean is dampened. The only dissatisfaction I had is I didn’t realize the area was quite small, and we were done in less than two hours.

We did the 3 hour kayak tour and it was a highlight of our Charleston trip. We went during low tide and saw tons of birds and crabs. Suggest going during high tide for better chance at dolphins and manatees. However, our guide was super enthusiastic and knowledgeable and let us explore! So much fun!

I really loved our tour of the blackwater swamp outside of Charleston. If you are driving from Wilmington, it's the perfect thing to do on the way out of the city while driving back north. Our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, and made the trip both fun and informative. She told us all about the ecosystem, history of the area, and pointed out many animals I never would have noticed otherwise. We also got to see a gator, which was awesome! I've only been kayaking a few times, but her instructions made the trip easy and enjoyable. I would highly recommend doing a tour through this company.

We were excited about out kayaking trip until we woke up to rain, However, the lovely woman at Nature Adventures assured us it was a water sport and to head on over. We were glad that we did. We saw a dolphin or two and had a really nice, pretty good workout without the sun beaming down on us. Very enjoyable. Our guide, Bob, was the right combination of helpful and funny.

Excellent choice! Keegan was our tour specialist & he explained the ins & outs to perfection. The whole staff went way above to insure our safety & enjoyment.

Great time kayaking. Dan was a great guide. Extremely knowledgeable on marine life. we saw tons of pelicans and dolphin. Will definitely go again!

Wonderful experience. Our group was given thorough instructions before starting the tour. Our guide, Ben, was very knowledgeable about the history of the Lowcountry and the fauna and floral. Also, a fun, engaging guy. Highly recommend this tour!

My husband and I took the 2 hour kayaking tour this past weekend. Due to COVID, Nature Adventures limited the number of people that could go out at a time which in the end really benefited us as it was literally just us and our tour guide Graham. Graham was great and brought us all throughout Shem Creek and brought us out the the Charleston Harbor. I would not only recommend Nature Adventures for kayaking, but I'd also recommend the 8AM time slot. I know the time may look early and daunting, but it was so worth it! It wasn't as busy out on the water and it was extremely peaceful. We had so much fun and cannot wait to come back again to kayak again with Nature Adventures!

We did the 2 hour sunset sup paddle with Ben. He was personable snd knowledgeable about history, plants and animals of the area. He got us safely across the river and up through the marsh. Also helpful suggestions on where to eat after the paddle. Thoroughly enjoyed our adventure!

I am a bigger lady and they made me feel very welcome and were very encouraging. This was my first time kayaking. It went beautifully. We saw dolphins and even a Manatee. Was such a cool experience to have with my family. Ben our tour guide was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the area and I learned some new stuff.

We had a perfect morning with cloud cover and very gentle breezes to moderate the heat. Ben was very knowledgeable and made the tour really interesting by sharing all kinds of historical and scientific information. In summer we were very glad we took the 8am tour.

Excellent tour, highly recommend! My husband and I took out a tandem kayak. We were the only 2 on the tour and loved getting to see parts of the beautiful harbor and backwater marsh! Even had chance to see a larger pod of dolphins with an adorable baby dolphin :)

The full moon tour was absolutely gorgeous. It was so fun and so peaceful. The tour guide, Ethan was so friendly, sweet and wonderful to talk to! He made the experience perfect. I would highly recommend, 10/10! It couldn’t have been a more perfect experience!

I recently visited Charleston from Chicago and went on a sea kayaking tour with Nature Adventures. It was so much fun. Matt was my tour guide and he was pleasant and so knowledgeable about the area. We visited a bird sanctuary, found seashells and sharks teeth. It is way under priced, completely worth the money. everyone was professional and nice. I am completely inexperienced when it came to kayaking and Matt made me feel completely comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely go again.

We participated in a 10 person sunset kayak tour. There were 5 adults and 5 kids, each kid paired with an adult in tandem kayaks. The weather was perfect and Ben, our guide, did an excellent job educating us on our surroundings in Shem Creek. We saw 5 dolphins and paddles out to sandbar where we hunted for shells and shark teeth while watching the sun set. Weather was perfect and all of the kids, ranging in age from 5 to 11, had a great time and helped paddle making this a great family-friendly excursion!
