I recently visited Charleston from Chicago and went on a sea kayaking tour with Nature Adventures. It was so much fun. Matt was my tour guide and he was pleasant and so knowledgeable about the area. We visited a bird sanctuary, found seashells and sharks teeth. It is way under priced, completely worth the money. everyone was professional and nice. I am completely inexperienced when it came to kayaking and Matt made me feel completely comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely go again.

Jim was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend the 2 hour tour. We saw wildlife including birds and dolphins.

Great for kayaks and paddle boards. Did a kayak guided tour and had such a great time to paddle board. I’ve been to Charleston several times over the last 10 years and always return to this location and this company.

We spent 3 hours tandem kayaking at a leisurely pace. The scenery and nature viewing were superb. Matt was an excellent guide: polite, friendly and knowledgeable. He provided many details about the ecosystem, history and wildlife of the region. He also shared several stories of historical and civic interest, and was open to any questions. We highly recommend him.

It was so fun! They were instructive and accommodating. They gave us a good route to go on and we had a great time with good equipment.

Definitely would recommend! Steve was our tour guide and he knew so much history and nature facts. I was nervous about being in the water knowing what’s underneath but once he started going i completely forgot. Such a good time.

I had a really great experience with this company. I loved the history and the views of the city. I paddle a lot in my off time so I wish the pace was a bit more, but I was also in a group with first time paddlers, so I fully understand. They answered a lot of questions I had about different kayaks and let me try a few different styles out which truly made my day!! I will definitely be back to do another tour someday!

We did the 3 hour Wambaw Creek Blackwater Wilderness area tour with Andrew. The area is beautiful and Andrew was an amazing guide! Thank you for this unique experience!!

My wife and I have wanted to kayak the creeks and marsh areas for some time. Our two hour tour in a tandem kayak was great. Our guide (Ben) was fantastic. He had great knowledge of the area, wildlife, and ecosystem as well as being fun and making people of all skill levels feel comfortable in the water. We will definitely go again. As we move into summer I would encourage others to take the early morning trips to battle the heat. We went at 10 am and it was fine. We did have several dolphin sightings not far from us and that was super fun to see up close.

My daughter and I were fortunate to have our guide Cindy . Everone had cancelled due to the weather and our experience was extraordinary. It was my maiden voyage kayaking and Cindy explained what to do in such a way that helped to build my confidence. We cannot wait to book another trip and highly recommend this outing regardless of your experience!

Did the sunset kayak tour. Very scenic and fun. Nice way to spend the evening with family then grab some food right there at many great spots to eat

My husband and I signed up just a few days in advance while visiting Charleston mid October 2015. We have only kayaked a few times, but I really wanted to see the natural beauty of Charleston up close. We went on a 2 hour guided tour, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Very glad that we made time to do this during our trip. There are lots of things to do in Charleston, for sure, but this activity was definitely one of my favorites. :)

This shop is tiny but has a large number of top quality kayaks right on the water's edge and the price is the best I found. The location is ideal for a paddle and then a lunch at one of the many nearby restaurants. While we did not take a guided tour, the guides were nonetheless helpful in telling us which locations would be good to visit and where you would most likely find wildlife. I would highly recommend Nature Adventure Outfitters for your kayaking experience!

Cool, informative and a great workout! Our guide was so friendly and helpful! Definitely would go back! Learned a lot about the wildlife, saw some dolphins up close and personal and even found some shark teeth as a memoire!

We had a wonderful time. Clayton was the guide for our kayak tour. He was super knowledgeable about the marsh ecology and showed us so many examples of the interconnectedness of everything living there. Beyond that though, he was just a nice person to chat with. We even got a few pointers on kayaking technique which were very helpful.

We had a great time kayaking on Wambaw Creek with John as our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the wildlife and plants that we saw. We were surprised to see several alligators, turtles and one rather scary snake in a tree. We had all kayaked some before, but I think this was my favorite trip! Don't forget your water and hats! Fortunately, it wasn't too hot the day of our trip, so it wasn't too bad. We were a group of "mature" adults and would do it again in a heartbeat. Absolutely loved it!!!

This was such a nice tour! My husband and I had an amazing morning kayaking. Our tour guide was very knowledgable about Shem Creek and the wildlife surrounding it. We even saw a manatee!! Would highly recommend!

This is always the highlight of my trip to Isle of Palms and the Mount Pleasant area. Shem Creek is beautiful and the kayak tour is spectacular. Our guide, Josh, was very knowledgeable of the wildlife and history of the area and made the experience very enjoyable.
