It was a beautiful day, Matt was terrific guiding us, adding lots of history and detail, dolphins 😎 🐬🐬🐬, various birds, staff was helpful-especially getting in and out! A wonderful experience and highly recommend! Thanks Nature Adventures!

We had a great time! Ethan was our guide and did a great job explaining about the local wildlife, bay, creek and marshes. When we saw some dolphins he had us stay in the area so we can watch them. I had 2 circling my kayak, it was awesome. We would definitely do this again next time we are in the area!

I bring Military groups here for paddle boarding and kayak tours. The staff is always so kind and energetic, always making my groups feel welcomed! The military groups always come back ecstatic to tell me they went back with their family to board/kayak when visiting. So relieved they are comfortable with this company while being here during their duty station in Charleston. Thank you, NAO!

Nice easy paddle up Schem creek and then back down to the bay. your guide, Steve, was very friendly. Check in was easy. Parked right at the site. People at their ramp slid us in to the water so we didn’t get too wet. Nice to see the area peaceful from the water.

I struggled to rate this one. We did a sunset tour a few years ago with them and loved it. Overall, I think it is a great company with great guides. I just didn't love this particular tour. It is an hour and a half through wavy waters and boat wakes. The island where you hunt for fossils is very small, however we found a ton of sharks teeth, bones, and saw several horseshoe crabs. This part was really fun and my kids loved it. They provide lunch, but I would suggest bringing your own. I don't think there is much oversight in the way lunch is prepared. Our guide forgot the bread, and the mayo was expired by almost 2 yrs! Forgetting the bread really was not that big of a deal to us, but the mayo thing really bothered me, esp since my son had already eaten his sandwich when I realized it. I think the company needs to re-evaluate how they provide a lunch. The trip back took a little less time because we had a good breeze and the current was in our favor. It was a 10-2 trip that honestly felt never-ending, under relentless sun. There is not a shaded or lazy paddle area anywhere. This is the main reason I rated it 3 stars. It is for the trip, not the company or guide. We liked our guide. She was professional, knowledgable, and likable. I would do trips with this company again, just not lunch-provided. I would also choose a trip with more variety in the path taken. Also, go to the bathroom before you leave because there are no facilities until you get back.

We had a great tour with Steve and even spotted a manatee! Possibly two! Highly recommend this on your trip to Mount Pleasant!

We loved our time on the water kayaking with Nature Adventures! Matt and Hampton were great, so knowledgeable! This trip was equal parts ecology, history and beautiful views. We did the Shem Creek 2 hour kayak and it was the perfect amount of time.

We had an amazing time and will definitely be coming back. The prices and service were great. This was my family’s first time kayaking, and it couldn’t have been a better day. We spent two hours on the water alongside two dolphins, an unforgettable experience.

Beautiful setting and fun! Big shout out to Graham who was personable, polite and knowledgeable. Be warned check the winds!!! Nearly impossible to paddle in the 13kts but made worth it by having the close view of the dolphins!

We had such a fantastic time on the 2 hour kayak tour with Ethan. If you’re new to a kayak, don’t worry, it’s super easy to pick up and not strenuous. Two hours, we felt, was the ideal amount of time to get out on the water, enjoy the sights, and not be too tired at the end. Ethan was a very good guide; he provided just the right amount of information and knowledge, without being too wordy and overzealous. Some of the best moments, outside of Ethan’s details, were the solitude and quietness of just the oars and the water. Completely recommend to anyone looking to explore the local waterways. And be sure to grab lunch, dinner or drinks after the excursion on Shem’s Creek.

Joshua was our guide for the Shem Creek Kayak experience and he was awesome. a shared historical info and great nature information as well and threw in some comedic moments! Slower paced but really enjoyable, highly recommend!

We took a kayak tour on Shem Creek on the last day of our vacation. The weather looked great all week, then 16 hours before our tour it looked like we were going to get rained out. Because we had an hour drive, the receptionist accommodated us by moving our morning tour later in the morning in case we needed to reschedule. Thankfully the weather cleared and gave us a beautiful morning. Our tour guide, Zach, asked, "Who's your weather guy?" because the morning was so clear and the water was so smooth. We've been on several kayaking tours in different cities and we've never seen so many varieties of birds or had such a knowledgeable or friendly guide. We had a really great time on Wamba Creek - the tour was relaxing and beautiful. It was also highly educational as our guide was a marine biologist. Highly recommended!

Chose the 2:00 afternoon tour on Wambaw Creek.....excellent choice. John was a fantastic tour guide, pointing out many sites, creatures and nature while meandering on the black water creek. We were mesmerized by the reflections of the 1500 year old Cypress trees. We saw alligators, birds, vegetation, and yellow slick belly turtles while floating in the serene quietness of nature. We highly recommend this tour and would do it agin.

We had a late afternoon trip with a guide named Ethan who was really patient and knowledgeable and really enhanced the trip for us with information about the marsh and all the wildlife, this was clearly a good time to visit because it was very peaceful. We all really enjoyed this experience

Did the three hour kayak tour with Ed. Paddled up the Shem Creek seeing different birds and wildlife. Ed is very knowledgable about the area and the wildlife in the area. Drifted back downstream to the mouth of the harbor. Had three dolphins surface right near our kayaks! Company is a convenient location to Charleston, Mount Pleasant area. Would definitely recommend them and will plan to use them again.

Easy to book online. A few days after booking I called with a question but got their voicemail and hung up. They called me back bc they saw they'd missed a call from my number! Super impressed with their customer service! Kayak Tour was great! Ben was awesome - fun & personable & knowledgeable. Had a fantastic experience! Highly recommend!!

Nice paddling. Our guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable. Had a great time. And the restaurants/ bars in the Shem Creek area are also very nice. Cool area.
