We had a great time with Matthew as our guide. Paddling around the back Bay Area saw beautiful and relaxing.

This was a perfect activity for our family. We went on the sunset kayaking tour. It was so much fun, peaceful, interesting and memorable! Tillman, our guide, could not have been any nicer and patient (as this was our first time to kayak)! Seeing the dolphins so close to our kayaks left us speechless!

Cindy, our guide, was great. Very knowledgeable both historical and wildlife in Shem Creek kayak trip. Dolphins swam very close to us.

Great guide, beautiful setting, learned so much about the flora, fauna, and history of Shem Creek and Charleston with recommendations too! Took my 7-year-old along and they had a great animal search and find and kept a great pace that was ok for the whole group. Second time with this company and can’t wait to return again!

We took a group of 20 active seniors kayaking on Penny Creek. It was one of our best events ever. Kayaking with a group of friends with experienced guides, well informed, patient with those of us who aren't kayak experts -- so a good day was had by all. Would recommend anyone thinking about kayaking to check with Nature Adventures. Great job!

We had a fabulous paddle today with Ryan up the creek and out into the harbour. Ryan was an excellent guide firstly by his careful and clear instructions as we were all novices and with his fun stories as we leisurely paddled past the oysters beds. We were very lucky to see dolphins very close by, a mother was teaching her baby to catch fish by stunning them with her tail. It was amazing. We also were surrounded by lots of pelicans fishing, a blue heron, wood stork, turkey vultures, egrets, ibis, cardinals and red wing blackbirds. All in all a wonderful day.

We did the three hour kayak tour in Shem Creek. Eric was our guide and he was laid back and very knowledgeable of the area and especially birds. Great experience I would definitely recommend if in the area.

We ventured up the creek for a couple of hours with Josh, a very clear speaking and well informed guide both in terms of the river's wildlife and history. A section of the route beneath the low hanging Spanish moss was fun. No dolphins but Josh tells us that your chances of spotting are 50/50. The booking and check-in processes were first rate and there was free parking contrary to expectations. The entrance to the site is easy to miss off the freeway so approach slowly. Perhaps a bit pricey but then everything in the US is.

I have been on five tours with Nature Adventures. Not only do I feel safe, but I learn a plethora of new information about the state’s history, plant and wildlife!

I have been using this outfitter for several years and have done more than 18 trips with them. Every trip has been well organized and well run. The participants from where I live, Seabrook Island, are always enthusiastic about the trips and sign up for more. They are great!

Great for kayaks and paddle boards. Did a kayak guided tour and had such a great time to paddle board. I’ve been to Charleston several times over the last 10 years and always return to this location and this company.

We had a great time on the kayak tour led by Tori ( we were fortunate to get a solo tour as others canceled due to weather!)! She was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to all our questions as we viewed several wonderful species of wildlife. Will definitely be back for another tour soon!

It’s such a relaxing activity I should have tried kayaking much sooner! Guide John made it very easy and pleasant for everyone by providing detailed instructions for all the first-timers (including me) and telling us about all the fauna and flora as we saw many species on our tour. We went out at 6pm and came back just after 8pm, and paddling for the two hours was not hard at all (I was worried it would be). I can definitely recommed it to everyone who is looking to have a relaxing time! Keep in mind, if you’re looking to see the dolphins you should take an earlier tour - ask the super kind staff for details.

We had a great tour with Tori! She was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic! Tour was relaxing and enjoyable. Saw dolphins, birds, crabs and even Outer Banks filming!

My husband, my 17 year old daughter and I did a two hour kayaking tour on Shem Creek. Our guide Ben was extremely knowledgeable about both the surrounding ecosystem and the history of Charleston. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Shem Creek!

We've been out with NAO twice, both times to the blackwater swamp kayak tour up at Wambaw Creek. The last time was last month with an out of town guest. It was rather a last minute decision (the day before) to go and there were just 3 of us, but I called the office, they checked with the guide who was willing to take us, and we met them up in McClellanville as is the usual case with this tour. It was just we 3 and it was a lovely experience. We saw a few birds including prothonotary warblers, small alligators, snakes, large spiders and had we not had our great guide I think we would have missed ALL of them, as they were very difficult to see. It's a lovely quiet and peaceful place. About as opposite from Shem Creek as you could imagine. Highly recommend a trip with these folks.

Our tour guide Nolan, was very knowledgeable. Took time and let us enjoy everything there was to offer during our time. We did get to see wild dolphins feeding on fish. He told us all about what was around us and explained each bird down to a tee, which was what he was a ornithologist. We had a very relaxing time. This was our first time Kayaking. We choose early morning which I highly recommend. Thanks Nolan!!

Went there with my softball team after practice one day and it was just what we needed! Guides were awesome and we got to play fun games!! Bonus- we saw a dolphin!

Ethan was a great tour guide today ... very patient, friendly knowledgable & passionate about his job and the ecosystem. We enjoyed learning about the specific plants & animals and some history of the area. We highly recommend a morning tour followed by lunch or dinner on the water while watching the pelicans and dolphins in the creek.

Had an awesome experience with Matt - knowledgeable and fun guide through the creek and stopped by Crab Bank to pick through fossils and shark teeth. Saw some dolphins playing and a bunch of different birds. Would highly recommend!

This was our first time kayaking and it was amazing! Our guide, Matt, was very knowledgeable regarding the regional history and nature. The kayaks were clean and comfortable and we were given proper instruction so that as "newbies" it was nothing stressful. We saw some really cool wildlife and heard some interesting facts. My only advice: 1. It was much sunnier than I had expected - definitely need to wear sunscreen. 2. The road to the loading spot was very bumpy with deep potholes - if you could drive a larger vehicle, it would be much easier to navigate than a low-riding car. 3. Keep your eyes open - there are so many cool things to see - just have to spot them!

My husband and I recently took the saltwater two-hour tour with NAO. Our guide was great! Having a dolphin swim right next to my kayak was an awesome experience!

Loved our 2 hour guided kayaking tour with Matt!! Pace was nice and he was super knowledgeable of the area whether it was about history, science or Outer Banks filming sights. He made sure we got every minute of our tour and we will absolutely do it again!!
