We took the 2 hour kayaking tour on Shem Creek and had a great time. Our guide was Cindy and she was really friendly and knowledgeable about the birds and real estate. It was a nice relaxing ride just listening to her and paddling along. We did see one dolphin, I was hoping to see more, but that wasn’t her fault! We went down Shem Creek and out to a little island where we got out and picked up some shells. She was good about helping us out so we didn’t have to get too wet! Then we went along and looked at the houses and kayaked under their piers. She pointed out lots of interesting things along the way.

Our guide was super attentive to the fact we were beginners. We will definitely go again.

Our tour guide, Matt, was unbelievably knowledgeable and excellent at his job. The tour was very interesting and the views are stunning. The whole staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were worried parking would be an issue but we were able to find free parking in the lot right next to the park which was super convenient. Be sure to use sunscreen and bring water on the tour because it is very hot. Also note that the tour is pretty “chill,” meaning you’re not going to be getting a big work out in paddling. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!!

We just returned from the Sewee Indian Ceremonial Shell Ring Historic Site and had an amazing time. Teresa was fantastic and full of knowledge. She was very thorough during the safety and instruction portion for my 3 daughters (all under 11). She spent lots of time explaining the different types of shells and ancient pottery to us. The company itself put up with me having to make several changes on the number of people attending and were always extremely polite. Great experience with a great staff. I will definitely be taking a trip with this company again and will highly recommend them to all of my friends.

I had an amazing time on the 2-hour kayak tour with Nature Adventures. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the kayaks were in great condition. Paddling through Shem Creek was a delight, with stunning views and wildlife sightings, including dolphins!! Our guide Ethan provided fascinating insights about the local ecosystem. Highly recommend this tour for a fun and educational outdoor experience! It’s an absolute must do while you are in Charleston.

Have used Nature Adventures twice. 1st time paddling by our own and 2nd time together with their guide. Worked well both times. Friendly staff and easy and quick support getting in/out of kayak. Very knowledgeable guide. Good experience and fun activity!

Ethan is a fantastic guide. Super knowledgeable. Kayak trip was interesting and fun. Some nice birds and I spotted a dolphin. I am still waiting to see my first manatee in the wild. 😜 Good times!

The Shem Creek Kayak tour was a highlight of our trip! We booked a group tour, but nobody else has booked so it turned into a private tour! The staff was extremely friendly and patient as this was our first time kayaking. Ben was a great guide and we got some awesome shots! Great opportunity to see wildlife such as dolphins, manatees, and various birds. Definitely recommend!

Yesterday, we went out on a small women's group kayak adventure to Crab Island to search for sharks teeth. Elizabeth and Ben were great from beginning to end! Some in our group had never kayaked before and our instructions were detailed and put everyone at ease. Beautiful weather, great company, lots of laughter and two knowledgable pros!! I'm looking forward to our next trip.

I like the two hour tour. It was fun and I felt comfortable kayaking with our tour guide. We did it in the afternoon/evening hours, it was busy, lots of boats.

Jim was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend the 2 hour tour. We saw wildlife including birds and dolphins.

We went on a 2 hour kayak tour at 10am this morning. The weather was beautiful and the wind cooperated, the creek and harbor like glass! Our guide, Diana was the best! We saw manatees and several species of birds! We kayaked out to Crab Island, Diana did a terrific job pointing out the young birds and some fun facts about all the different species. She was a wealth of knowledge and fun too! Don't worry if you are a beginner with a kayak! A great way to spend some time outside! Ask for Diana!

We had the best time kayaking at Nature Adventures! We did a guided tour with Steve and came back the next day to kayak on our own! Would highly recommend!

My husband and I had never been kayaking before and loved our first experience! At 60+ years old we had a few concerns but were eager to try. Our 8 am tour was perfect. Calm water, not too hot outdoors yet, and few boats. We didn’t see dolphins but I found a moon jelly fish and we saw many birds which Dan, our guide, identified. Dan was very knowledgeable and helpful. We’d go again in a heartbeat!!

Had a beautiful kayaking trip Saturday afternoon through the Francis Marion Forest down the Wambaw Creek. The forest provided enough shade and there was a little breeze to keep us cool. Elizabeth, of Nature Adventures, was our guide and she is always knowledgeable about the birds and history of the area. Saturday we saw two owls and heard them calling to each other, three white ibis followed us down the creek and several other smaller birds were heard and one small alligator had it's head sticking out of the water. Saw magnificent very old cypress trees and learned a little history about the forest area and Eliza Lucas Pinckney. Always a good and informative time with Nature Adventures and Elizabeth.

Our kayaking tour was fabulous! Our guide Tori was very knowledgeable and attentive to all of us in the group. I definitely recommend going to Nature Adventures on Shem Creek - I will be back for sure!

It was a beautiful day to be on the water at Shem Creek and Charleston Harbor! Nature Adventures provided the kayaks and our knowledgeable guide , Will, who enlightened us with all sorts of interesting information about the beautiful surroundings that we were exploring. I highly recommend spending time on the water kayaking with Nature Adventures!

Excellent trip as always - Charlie was very informative

Very flexible with our schedule given the unpredictability of the low country weather. A tropical storm came onshore early in the morning and left great weather in its wake as it pushed inland and away. Our guide was very knowledgeable; the scenery around here is always special and overall we were very satisfied and would definitely come kayak again with Nature Adventures.

We had a great tour with Tori! She was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic! Tour was relaxing and enjoyable. Saw dolphins, birds, crabs and even Outer Banks filming!
