We thoroughly enjoyed our trip! We got a great education before our independent kayak trip about what to expect to see, wild life wise, and rules of the area. We had a rare bonus sighting of a manatee on Shem Creek! Our kids, 11 & 8, got a scavenger hunt list, and we got a clear map of where we needed to be. Really a perfect day. Thank you to Ben Toy at Nature Creek for setting us up!

I wish I could have used this rental company i showed up to today I did have my own kayak and I planned on renting an all day tandem Kayak rental for my wife and son so they could go out with me. Before making 10 feet from my truck across the parking lot walking to the window. I was met with a very rude older lady who kept informing me that I could NOT put my kayak in it was a private launch. To my reply was I wanted to rent a kayak for my wife. She wouldn’t listen to me and just kept repeating herself stating I could NOT out my kayak in I would have to use the public launch across the street. I told her I understood and she then replied by stating it was a private launch I could not use it! After thinking for a moment if they were going to be this rude and I hadn’t even made it to the window to rent the kayak how would they be when we came back. Apparently they didn’t want my 75 dollars plus tax so we took our business elsewhere. I understand it’s a private launch it was the way she came running up to me yelling and I had only made it 10 feet from my truck.

Can rent kayak for the day for fairly cheap

We decided to go with the tandem kayak and it was worth every dollar! The views are super nice and the staff was super friendly and helpful! Will be going back again for sure!

We did a 4 hour kayak adventure on our own…it was fabulous! They provided basic instruction as we had kayaked before and some guidelines. We were able to see dolphins and a ton of birds. The kayaking itself was a great workout.

We enjoy kayaking, but rarely feel the need to join a tour. We like a low key rental outfit where we can grab the kayak for the day, consult a map about where to paddle and what to see, then just go. NAO was exactly that. We arrived with no reservations, but the friendly staff confirmed an available tandem. We signed a form, paid, got some general info about paddling direction and tides, and we were in the water within 15 minutes. We paddled down the creek a short ways and out into the harbor where the breeze and the tide made us work a bit to stay the course around crab bank island, a pelican rookery. We then circled around in the harbor some, looking at houses and docks, then headed back up the creek to find lunch. Since we did not know how to "park" the kayak in order to visit one of the creek side restaurants, we paddled back to NAO where the staff puled us out and put our kayak aside for our return. After a very enjoyable lunch at Vickery's, a restaurant just a short walk down from NAO. We returned to NAO and were once again helped back into the water. We paddled up the creek this time for about an hour, where we encountered only boat slips, moorings and plenty of mother nature. We ended our trip being helped out of the water by the staff. Reasonable price ($60 for the day per tandem), super staff, enough interesting kayaking for a day, and a very easy-going rental experience...just what we were looking for.

We had a great time kayaking the river and the bay. The check in/instruction process was quick and easy and the staff were very helpful. Well worth it.

I was nervous, since it was my first time. The staff explained the safety, and basic rules, however, they did not go out with you. They left it up to you to figure it out. That was fine with me, because if you are going to do this, you can't expect people to hold your hand. That is why they call it an adventure. Most of the time they said you can see dolphins. I didn't see any, but I did see a bunch of pelicans. The value was great and I highly recommend trying it out. I could get up to 4 hours for $30. 2 hours was more then enough. I didn't leave sore, and as someone who has not always been the biggest athlete, I did fine.

Great experience! The employees were so kind and informative. I’ve never gone kayaking, but they made it a smooth, safe, and fun first trip! They provided a map of the area and gave me some pointers on where to start as a beginner. I will definitely be back!

A little slow getting off after getting there early, but the staff was nice and we had a great time. We saw turtles, dolphins and manatees. Tandem kayak rentals.

I’ve been kayaking here twice now, and both times were such a great experience! The team is super helpful and makes everything really easy. It’s always fun, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great day on the water.

Memorial holiday weekend we rented two dual seat Kayaks, they give you 4 hours which we didn't need that much time but it's nice to not feel rushed. We saw Dolphins, oysters, fish, mansions along the coast and lots of expensive boats. Very nice area with great outdoor bars and restaurants in walking distance. Highly recommend 👍👍👍👍👍💯

My wife and I rented a tandem kayak and had a great experience. The team there was friendly and efficient. Spotted 3 dolphins as we were heading back in. We chose to reserve online and saved time by doing so. We will definitely return.
