What an adventure! Met with our tour guide John in the Frances Marion Forest and started our kayak adventure with a brief orientation on kayakking. The trip on the black water of the wacamaw was like going into a whole new world! If you have high blood pressure, this trip is guaranteed to bring it down? Saw several gators, 1000 yr old cypress trees, a variety if birds and fora and fauna. John was an outstanding guide! Great workout too! Highly recommend this trip!

A great kayak tour with Tori. She was great and taught us a lot about the history, ecosystem and wildlife. A great way to get out and enjoy nature in the area.

Elizabeth and Jay were great! We had an unusual request to paddle out to Crab Bank in the middle of January to see a rare bird. The temperatures were in the high 30s and low 40s with light winds, and usually those temperatures would prohibit a trip out. We dressed accordingly and Elizabeth accompanied us. We timed the trip just right with the tide. Elizabeth even loaned a pair of her neoprene boots to a member in our group. We saw the bird (Snow Bunting) and made the trip out and back safely. We highly recommend Nature Adventures on Shem Creek!

Sean and the whole crew of guys at Nqture Adventures were fantastic from top to bottom. We had the best time kayaking and the communication from this outfit is stellar- never had any questions unanswered upfront or along the way. These guys are on it! Thank you! Our crew of 9 people had a blast.

We had a great day kayaking with our guide Sean. He was very knowledgeable about the marine plants, oysters, dolphins and the ecosystem itself. The time went by very quickly. The paddling was not too strenuous but some of the turns in the marsh were tight! A few dolphins jumped out of the water around us! It was a fun day on the water to be sure!

Very flexible with our schedule given the unpredictability of the low country weather. A tropical storm came onshore early in the morning and left great weather in its wake as it pushed inland and away. Our guide was very knowledgeable; the scenery around here is always special and overall we were very satisfied and would definitely come kayak again with Nature Adventures.

Nicole was terrific and the tour was actually very informative if you are into nature. There is one suggestion that I would make is that maybe put some bars on the sides of the pilings when you launch your kayak to give the kayakers a sense of stability as the leave the launch. I was a little embarrassed when I left the boat launch because I almost tipped. LOL ! The only reason I'm giving this a 4 and not a 5 is so that it is seen by the company.

I recently visited Charleston from Chicago and went on a sea kayaking tour with Nature Adventures. It was so much fun. Matt was my tour guide and he was pleasant and so knowledgeable about the area. We visited a bird sanctuary, found seashells and sharks teeth. It is way under priced, completely worth the money. everyone was professional and nice. I am completely inexperienced when it came to kayaking and Matt made me feel completely comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely go again.

Casual kayaking through the natural beauty of Wambaw Creek. Our guide, Ryan, was fantastic...straight away it felt like we'd known him for years. Would recommend this excursion for anyone looking to break away from the beach for a few hours. Saw a sampling of local wildlife, including a few gators, one up close and personal. My kids (17 & 20) both really enjoyed the trip.

It was a beautiful day, Matt was terrific guiding us, adding lots of history and detail, dolphins 😎 🐬🐬🐬, various birds, staff was helpful-especially getting in and out! A wonderful experience and highly recommend! Thanks Nature Adventures!

Tillman and his colleague sure made this a fun 3-hour paddle up and down the Swamp at Wambah. I am an experienced river paddler but this was just a great trip. We were there under tropical storm warnings but everyone showed up- got sprinkled on a bit but that just added to the adventure. Learned a lot from both guides!!

After looking at several kayaking tour websites my group chose Nature Adventures based on the description of the tour and reviews. It may have been an off day for the place but very little about it was positive. I have been on several kayak tours (and lead some) and this is the first time I have ever been on one where there weren't 2 guides, one in the front of the group and one in the back, who described what the plan was, stopped the group in various places to give interpretive information, etc. None of that happened. Our group was spread out all over, and the guide gave very little information about the natural or cultural history of the area except for answering questions. The description of the tour in the website implied that the guides were all knowledgable and informative, so the lack of information was very disappointing. Our guide was very nice, but mentioned he didn't feel well and a couple of times held back and told us all to go ahead although we didn't know what where we supposed to go. The website also mentions the variety of wildlife that could be spotted and we only saw a few water birds. We realize that can't be helped, but it did added to our disappointment. It was not worth the $50 and I would't recommend it.

Me and my wife came down for our anniversary. We have been several times to Charleston and been on several adventures with the Nature adventure tour guides. This one was by far the best. We took the 3 hour tour and had an awesome tour guide Rob. We were very excited and hopeful to get to see dolphins this time seeing as the past we weren’t so lucky. We got our wish plus some they were all out and about and one even came up right beside us. The guide was super knowledgeable. And made the trip a lot of fun. Highly recommend to anyone looking for some fun and sun.

We participated in a 10 person sunset kayak tour. There were 5 adults and 5 kids, each kid paired with an adult in tandem kayaks. The weather was perfect and Ben, our guide, did an excellent job educating us on our surroundings in Shem Creek. We saw 5 dolphins and paddles out to sandbar where we hunted for shells and shark teeth while watching the sun set. Weather was perfect and all of the kids, ranging in age from 5 to 11, had a great time and helped paddle making this a great family-friendly excursion!

Great kayak tour with Dan! He was very knowledgeable. Shem Creek was beautiful. Definitely a needed escape.

This was a great experience for my college softball team!! We had so much fun and learned so many useful things to carry into our season. Would highly recommend for any team or business bonding!!!

I like the two hour tour. It was fun and I felt comfortable kayaking with our tour guide. We did it in the afternoon/evening hours, it was busy, lots of boats.

Great trip with Nature Adventures to Crab Bank. Our guides were helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone found shark teeth and enjoyed looking for shells as well.

Definitely would recommend! Steve was our tour guide and he knew so much history and nature facts. I was nervous about being in the water knowing what’s underneath but once he started going i completely forgot. Such a good time.

We did a 2 hour guided tour with Matt. He was great! Very informative and relaxed. We saw dolphins and even caught a glimpse of a sea turtle! Would definitely do again! We had beeb debating about doing a tour vs renting kayaks on our own. I would recommend the tour as Matt was able to give lots of local tidbits making the trip more interesting.

Awesome! Ethan was our tour guide and great. So knowledgeable about the wildlife and ecology of the region. Friendly and patient. We got to see out into the harbor as well. 10/10 one of our favorite things we did in Charleston!
