Awesome experience. The guides were spot on with their timings for tide changes and it made for an easy paddle out and back. Tons of places to explore, lots of wildlife, and got to see the dolphins swimming right next to us. Will definitely be back!

We did the 3 hour kayak tour and it was a highlight of our Charleston trip. We went during low tide and saw tons of birds and crabs. Suggest going during high tide for better chance at dolphins and manatees. However, our guide was super enthusiastic and knowledgeable and let us explore! So much fun!

We had a 3 hour kayak tour of Shem Creek and the bay. Diana was a phenomenal guide. We have done several kayaking tours around Charleston and surrounding area, and this was by far the best one yet!

This was a beautiful experience kayaking on Shem Creek. Our guide Charlie was informative, pointing out wildlife, plants, and landmarks throughout the tour while providing insightful historical information. I would highly recommend a kayaking trip to explore Shem Creek-it's also great for beginners!

Since we were inexperienced (but game!) kayakers, we opted to have a guide. We are so glad we did. From the moment we talked to Elizabeth, who patiently explained all our options and set us up to have Christian be our guide, we knew we had lucked into the right place. Christian was born and raised in the area and gave us lots of local history. He also pointed out any wildlife we saw, from a wide variety of birds to different crabs to landmarks. He also talked about factors in the ecosystem and the industry in the area. Best and kindest of all, I had forgotten my waterproof camera: No problem he said, got ya covered; you tell me what you want a pic of and I can airdrop them when we are done. Boy did he; can’t believe he could take so many pics, keep an eye out for 2 old bags, and give us a thorough idea of the area. WOW. It was so fun. Go here whether you want to rent a kayak on your own or go with a guide; YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

We had a great morning! Our guide John was wonderful, shared a lot of information and helped us to see the birds we would have otherwise missed!

We had a nice time kayaking. If you’re just looking to get out on the water during your vacation this will do. The down sides of this kayaking trip was that it is pretty slow paced. You are stopped a lot or barely needing to paddle. We unfortunately did not see any dolphins. One thing I hope they improve on is the cleanliness of their lifejackets. You can smell the BO odor on them right away and the whole time you kayak. After the trip is done they have you place them in a bucket of water. It seems these have just been used MANY times and not dried/cleaned properly.

The weather was perfect. The water was perfect. The nature was perfect. Jay, my guide was a blend of rockstar historian, naturalist/educator, kayak instructor, buddy and comedian. He kept his eye on the water, my safety and whether I was OK, while all the while keeping our small group moving forward. It was a delightful way to spend a Saturday morning (as a lone girl traveling) in the Charleston area. HIGHLY recommend. Will be going back with my 13 year old son in tow.

These people always deliver a great experience. The guides are knowledgeable and personable. Equipment is in good shape and they work hard to make sure you are safe and happy out on the water. I go so often it is getting downright embarassing.

Cool, informative and a great workout! Our guide was so friendly and helpful! Definitely would go back! Learned a lot about the wildlife, saw some dolphins up close and personal and even found some shark teeth as a memoire!

Ed was our guide for the Shem Creek and Crab Island Tour. It was a great experience and impressive how Ed made all participants feel good about their trip and effort. Shem Creek is beautiful and Ed shared the ever changing life of the area, from small snails to pelicans. We also had a variety of effort required, starting with relatively still waters of the creek, returning into the wind and then heading out to the Charleston Harbor with the waves from wind and passing boats. I have been on several other kayak tours and this was one of the best! Also, Bob - on the experienced guides of the team was getting married that afternoon. Congratulations!

We had such a great time on this tour! Tori was our guide and she was wonderful! Super knowledgable about the wildlife, ecosystem and even some history that I’ve never known and I’ve lived in the area my entire life. It was so peaceful and we would certainly recommend this to any of our family and/or friends..visiting or local!

Great guide, beautiful setting, learned so much about the flora, fauna, and history of Shem Creek and Charleston with recommendations too! Took my 7-year-old along and they had a great animal search and find and kept a great pace that was ok for the whole group. Second time with this company and can’t wait to return again!

Great backwater tour led by Jay! Jay was friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful day. Saw several gators. Only drawback is that there was a shortage of other wildlife. Very fun day!

We had an absolutely fabulous time on our kayak tour! The guides are wonderful, provide lots of instruction for anyone unfamiliar with kayaking, and all of the information they share on the tour is super interesting. We loved spotting some dolphins! Ethan, our tour guide, was awesome and even gave us suggestions on where to eat in the area. Highly recommend!

We had the best time! It was my first time in a kayak, but Clark made it so easy. He was an excellent guide. We saw several dolphins and hundreds of pelicans. Clark made it all very interesting and I can't wait to do it again.
